Requesting a Letter

Students may request a letter by submitting a “Letter Request” form in the iVols portal.

Students may request a letter from ISSS for a few different purposes:

  1. Enrollment Verification

  2. Estimate of Expenses

  3. Passport Renewal/Certifications

  4. Other - we may be able to accommodate some special requests, but not always. If you have questions about a special letter request, please meet with an ISSS advisor to discuss

Note about SSN Letters: we can provide an SSN letter for a person with CPT authorizations that needs to apply for the SSN. Students with on campus employment should obtain an SSN Memo from their employing department rather than requesting a letter using the “Letter Request” form.
